Poetas Menores is a Madrid-based collective formed by Spanish artist Marta Orozco Villarrubia and Colombian musician and artist Julián Mayorga. Their work spans several disciplines, mainly video, textile art, 2D animation, music and poetry. Their practice aims at the possible insertion of the monstrous and the mythological into the urban and the mundane. They addresses the role of poetics and myth as a popular vehicle to encode concerns, discomforts, fears and other feelings; and, above all, he explores the power of fantastic and mythological language as a possible political device.
